Sweet news from Ally's Mom ~

We are enjoying our time at home. Ally has been really sleepy the past couple of days...we expected that from the chemo. This round did not nearly upset her tummy like the first round did (same drugs, but she had a lot less going on this time). We are happy for the puke free days.

Her blood counts are down, so we have to give her a GCSF shot in her leg every day. I was the "lucky" one to do it yesterday when the visiting nurse was here. Her daddy is going to do it today! These shots will help her white blood cells recover.

When her counts are up we will be headed to Boston for her stem cell collection. This should only take a couple of days and we will be staying at the Ronald McDonald house. Ally doesn't have to spend the night in the hospital, but she is supposed to be relatively still for the 4-6 hours they are getting the stem cells from her each day.....I am thinking they are going to need to give her some meds to keep her sleepy, because now that she is feeling better there is no way she will be still for that long. Just while I have been typing this, she has ripped open an envelope, pulled apart a notebook and is currently trying to get to our container of change...I should probably pause and move her away from the change.......

As I was moving her I noticed she also managed to get a sock off.

So, this is going to be a peaceful day! (It is almost time for a nap!)

Thanks for reading.
