A Poem for John On His Birthday

Your diamonds in the sky with Lucy, mine in the snow

today as the sun rose in the woods, the temperature dropped

a magical mystery tour, as flakes turned to crystal

and your voice in my head, (we fed our heads together John, those years)

no music to the magic today but yours

woodland turned to white strawberry fields

as I try each day to imagine, and in the silence

of your absence have songs

playing now only in my head with yours

come together

My river, earlier this year. I don't have quite that much ice yet. Give it another week, lol!
