Woke up this morning with the very loud sound of a perfectly tuned Mack truck in my ear. I ignored it. Got louder. The bed began to vibrate. I groaned and opened one eye. Yep. A big Mack, wishing me to get up and do something for him. I stalled. But at last, as he knew I would, I did. Get up. And do something for him.

hey there puddle,

Old non-blogging New England deaniac here.

Checked into the blog this morning and read your post on perhaps needing an electric blanket but not really liking them. Not liking electric blankets myself I've been making cozy toe pillows for friends and family this year. They're just small pillows stuffed with organic flax seed that can be popped into the micro-wave for two or three minutes and tucked under the sheets. It's like the old bed warming pan without the hot coals or a heating pad without the cord. Put it between the sheets a few minutes before climbing into bed and it's heaven.

If you think you might enjoy having one I have an extra sitting right here. Just email me at pemaquid3 at yahoo.com and let me know mailing addy etc and I'll send one off.

All my best fellow traveller. Keep warm.
