Oh!!

The Phoebes have returned! First thing this morning, a small gray and white bird at my tree window, two feet from where I sit, hovering almost like hummingbird. Then a little later, the wonderful "phoebe, phoebe, phoebe" in front. They used to build over my bedroom window. Each year a new nest. For the last few, though, the front right corner, just under the eaves. The cat population seems not to be important to them at all.

Spring, indeed!
