Looking for a way to pray.

To ask friends and strangers alike to do so.

The pictures are all heads down, hands clasped.

Nothing in me feels that way.

I want to look up, search the face of all that is.

I want to be an empty cup, to be filled.

I want to be an ewer, filled and overflowing.

I want, only, to know. To understand.

Help me please.

With the wild greeting of my red-tail son.

I lift my eyes.

In the waterfall pool of the reflected gaze of doe sister I melt.

Curled in the southslope sun afternoon I dream with brother wolf.

It is in the blazing glory of the fullness of season I shed my leaves and stand naked to the Lord.

We are naked babes, all, to the sun and moon.

When in need, give.

It is a simple supplication.

All prayer is for other, which is pure.

That is a transcendent family photo.

A family whose limbs are so intertwined, the arms and legs seem to merge.

Little elf, they adore you.
