It is turning out that one of the things that I love about NYC (aside from the company I'm keeping) is *exactly* what I most love about the Wilds of West Virginia: Stay alert, keep your eyes and your heart open, and you will be continually surprised and delighted by what you are seeing.

Last night, coming in on the Jersey Turnpike, just past Bayone, suddenly, is the city across the water, looking against the black velvet of the sky and black silk of the water like nothing quite so much as a diamond bracelet. So sudden, so bright, so *there* your heart contracts before you even realize what you are seeing. Forgive me if country mouse just sez "WOW!!"

Puddle, enjoy this new phase of your journey.
I can't think of a more perfect combination--
the center-of-the-universe excitement that is
uniquely New York City (even moreso that Paris,
Milan or other large metropolises)----

and the serene almost ascetic co-existence with
nature that is your "What Joy" farm.
(at least that's my impression).

glad you arrived safely:)

Puddle, the workings of Blogger still puzzle me. However, I think it's possible to make a feed for a blog. If so, would you consider creating a feed for PYZCH to be placed on The Arty Blog?

BTW please continue your poetic discriptions of NYC. They're delightful.

Yup, it was seeing New York from across the river and up close from the parkways that alerted me to the fact that I couldn't live in north Florida anymore. And it wasn't just being 70 miles from the ocean that did it.
