Sundogs ~~
I never saw one till I came here to West Virginia. I don't see them often here. The first I saw, I thought almost that I was hallucinating: it was a summer day, towards evening, I was driving home from the store. And happened to look up, just a bit higher than the road, and there it was: a glorious patch of rainbow, perfectly round, and huge, in the Western sky. Behind it, a thin curtain of mares tails looking clouds.
When I asked, I was told that that patch was called a sundog. And not uncommon here. What they seem to require is high thin clouds to provide ice crystals to make the patch of rainbow.
Just another pleasure of living here.

The Rasmussen poll shows that the President's approval rating is starting to rise again. It currently stands at 46%.
You must be spitting nails over that one.
