I walked accross that bridge in Selma, I was shot at in Mississippi, I’ve done what I was capable of doing over the years.
And I say that Barbara Boxer took a stand of enormous courage today.
A teacher of mine once said: the most difficult thing of all is to show courage when no one recognizes that courage is necessary.
To use a Movie Metaphor you might understand; the first slave who stepped forward and said, “I’m Spartacus!” Made it possible for other “Spartaci” to step forward.
