We need to listen to those that provide our food. . . .

I see two big dangers of the current regulatory regimen.

the first is the lack of appreciation that single additions of new chemicals or genes are not singular events but inter-act with the whole biosphere

take new medicine discarded by being flushed down the toilet (it happens)

the second is that the science of the testing is not replicated by totally independent entities

loss of pollinators would be the biggest blow to the food supply since the little ice age of the thirteenth century
