Here are the things that have been removed from Ally today:
Her A line (an IV type thing that measures her blood pressure)
Her NG tube (tube down her nose)
The extra IV in her foot
Her catheter (diaper changing time)
She is now just hooked up to IV fluids and morphine through her Central Line.
Daddy is allowed to push the morphine button every 10 minutes, and instructed to push it at least every hour to maintain. He has only had to push it every hour, and mostly because they say so. Ally is MUCH more comfortable today.
Ally is going to spend 1 more night in the PICU and, as long as there is room on Pedi tomorrow she WILL move up there.
She is still really out of it. When she does open her eyes they are glazed over, but her Daddy has noticed some improvement in her today. Hopefully tomorrow she will "wake up" and start interacting.
