Blessed neighbor with an endloader arrived early afternoon, and by digging out all the culverts, allowed the river to go down enough to repair the four foot gap in my road. Blessedly another, a smoker, showed up and lent me a couple till I got out to the store later. I've been down to one-puff butts for two days. And no, you don't want to know what one-puff butts do to your lungs. . . .

Maybe I'll quit smoking on April Fool's Day. . . .
