When I first began making dolls, and mostly Fathers Christmas, I felt the process needed to be more inclusive. Somewhere between ten and twenty percent have been Gift Givers not wholly related to Santa, though they have been to that human spirit that wishes to gift others in celebration of the return of light.

Several African "Santas", five of these (Hanukkah Harry), Angels, any a number of different ethnicities of Father Christmas. Did a pair of Civil War Santas, where each side had their own. Also a series of Animal Santas, dubbed Santa Paws and Claws, though my favorite here were several snake Santas, without either. Fish Santa, too! I have pictures of most, but not available for computers. Will work this coming year on getting more up.
