Roosevelt
a great land
mountains, prairies, lakes
shearing, searing, share
turning sod
steel climbing to clouds
school house books
and on the wall
two Presidents
white hair or black hat
but Roosevelt saved the day
for the dust that blew
to the Capitol
all the way
began a lesson
and we learned it
well enough
we taught the world
til we forgot
