ExxonMobil profits soar on higher energy prices By Sheila McNulty Updated: 6:12 p.m. ET Oct. 27, 2005 ExxonMobil, the world's biggest publicly traded oil and gas company, on Thursday reported third quarter net profit up 75 per cent to almost $10bn on energy prices driven to record highs by demand constraints exacerbated by two hurricanes.
