The elderly gentleman
in a grey fur coat,
quite elegant
in essence and presentation
has come to live
in a wildness full lacking couth.

He's patient.
Quite noncondenscending.
Rather understanding, in fact.

And growing stronger
as he leaps and leaps
to new heights, desk top
and table. To stove and counter.
Dancer, learning the need to
dance again.

Well, perhaps this is a good spot for a chicken liver pate. For the makers of chicken soup:

Ingredients:

1 lb of chicken livers
2 large onions
1/3 cup rendered chicken fat (what you skim off refrigerated chicken broth)
2 hard boiled eggs
1 tsp salt
fresh pepper to taste

Sautee the chicken livers and chopped onion in the fat until the onions are golden and the livers are no longer pink.
Put the mixture through a course food mill along with the eggs. Gently stir in salt and pepper and refrigerate. Enjoy yummy pate on crackers or french bread.
