Well, it looks like I've located the source of a dis-ease I've been feeling. . . .Having to do with the Mayor of New Orleans.
When I started my blog 4 or 5 days ago, I wasn't really certain where I wanted it to go, or what I wanted it to be. I needn't have feared, I don't seem to have much choice: my blog seems to be *me*. Politics, poetry, recipes, songs. A sort of blogger's life reduced { Reduce: Rapidly boil a liquid to reduce in volume thereby thickening and concentrating the flavor }.
Ray Nagin had been a rePublican, until just before the last Mayoral election in New Orleans. Evidently a good one: eye out for the "main chance". . . . He changed his party registration, and ran as a Democrat. It would appear that you can take the boy out of the rePublican party, but you can't take the party out of the boy. Last summer, he managed to come up with an emergency program for the poor of New Orleans, and distributed that plan on DVDs to those poor. Crux of plan? Learn to swim.

Well, Puddle, that explains a lot of things; like, for instance, why the Mayor is jumping on the Repug "Let's blame the Gov." bandwagon. Slimy, no-good explitive deleted!!!
Calfonte, wow!!! I like chicken pot pie, but yours sounds a wee bit loud. Not sure I have the nerve to try it. Do you end up breathing fire after eating it? *grin*
