Surprising things to do with vanilla. . .



Quick Tomato Soup

Ingredients:

Directions:
  1. In a two-quart saucepan melt butter.
  2. Add onions and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add flour and stir to blend.
  4. Gradually add beef stock, stirring constantly.
  5. Add tomatoes, breaking up whole tomatoes if used.
  6. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer 30 minutes.
  7. If a smooth texture is desired, puree the mixture in a blender.
Serve hot. Serves 4.

*Mexican or Tahitian Pure Vanilla Extract may be substituted according to individual taste.
